...Well, technically it's not.
Because we got all that beautiful snow in the winter, we get to go back to school on Monday for HALF a day. Seriously!
Today we started off in Cortlee's classroom for games and awards. She received a bouquet of flowers for breaking two school records in track and a certificate for "Most Artistic".
She has really liked her teacher this year. We couldn't have been more blessed. She was SO great with Cortlee being so sick and really made Cortlee less stressed about the whole issue.
Then we went to the gym for Dodge Ball and Richie was requested to join in...yep, the ONLY parent! Here he is High Fivin' all the girls before they start (in his dress shirt and tie).
Then he used Bethany as a human shield. Yep, that's my man!
The wind up...
Then we went into the 6th grade assembly. She received:
The Principals Award (Straight A's All 4 quarters)
The Presidents Award (Straight A's PLUS a 85-89 on the AIMS)
15 ribbons from track (10-1st, 3-2nd, 2-3rd place, in addition to the ribbons she received from Championship)
Coach's Award from PE teacher
Rich snapped a pic of this on the wall at the school. Cortlee's teacher posted them all over the walls. Cort was embarrassed, but I thought it was really nice of her.
After that I came home and picked Levi up. He is sick and stayed home from school but he had to go for the band performance at noon. So we ran back to the school with his keyboard and they played at the HS for about 1 1/2 hours, outside, in the wind. He wasn't real happy about that. But they sounded great! He's been down all afternoon, I think I might have over drugged him...but he'll feel better tomorrow, hopefully! :)
Richie has been sick for awhile, too.
CALGON TAKE ME AWAY!!! seriously.
