I can't believe it's already the 11th! BTW, Happy Birthday Bradley Kay!
We've been busy, so let's play catch-up.
For Levi's 15th Birthday we took him to the John Schmidt concert again. It was a surprise until that morning. We were going to not tell him until we drove into the parking lot in Gilbert, but as we left town, we stopped at Richie's office and Carol spilled the beans. I guess she felt pretty bad...she told him to wait three hours before letting us know that she had told him. So three hours later on the dot, he admitted that he knew what was going on.
We didn't get any pictures, Richie was afraid they wouldn't want any cameras in there, but they were all over the place and flashes going off constantly.
I had e-mailed John before the concert and asked if he would give a shout-out to Levi for his birthday and he sent back and said he'd love to. Well, as soon as Levi realized he was talking to him, he looked at me like he was going to kill me! But, all was well, he didn't embarrass him, just sang him a short little song.
We were SUPPOSE to go Christmas shopping, too, BUT, during the night Richie got sick, REALLY sick. The next morning was the Crockett Christmas Party at the temple and in Queen Creek. Needless to say, we ended up a little late. I think we got to the church around 2. Also, no pictures, photographer 'didn't feel like it'...if you can imagine!
On the 19th we went to cut our Christmas tree. It was my favorite trip yet!!! We drove out to the area, 20 minute drive, stopped, walked up the mountain about 20 yards, spied it, cut it down, walked back to the truck, drove home. What a special way to spend an hour and a half during the Christmas season!
Richie ran to Globe to get Grandma that afternoon, which meant she was here for our Ward Christmas program. Levi played 4 songs with and without others. He did an AMAZING job. The last song was he and Lisa Watson on the piano, his piano teacher on the organ, and the choir. WOW! Grandma left on the 23rd for Leann's home. Richie posted some pictures while she was here. It just kept snowing and snowing, SO fun!!!...and beautiful!
Christmas morning was at home with just the four of us.

Another rare moment, the 'Morning Scrooge' smiling at 6am!
About 10 we took off for the ranch.
We spent the next week at the ranch with the exception of going to Tucson for the night on the 30th to welcome Elder Nate home from Canada. SO HAPPY to have both of them home finally!!!
On the 31st Tasha's family, Zak's family, Mark's family, Lee and Paula, and Chad and Jen came and stayed for the remainder of the weekend. It was so much work, and so much fun!
We headed home Saturday evening. With each mile I kept getting sicker and sicker. I had had a cold, but the flu was coming. By the next day Cortlee had it. We stayed sick for A WEEK! Levi ended up with a cold, but has been able to go to school, luckily.
Long story short...Cortlee and I had to get up at 6am this morning. Our Christmas Break is over...so sad. And to think, only three weeks off! :)

Santa came and visited Levi and Cortlee this year. He must have heard they might need a personal visit!
